I'm Marius, the guy who does everything with pixels. This is
my blog in which you may read my artistic writings - in Romanian,
find Work In Progress [WIPs]
images and opinions about different aspects of today's trends. Have
fun readin' it.
The entire site is chock-full of texts and images. If you do not
enjoy reading, you may miss the purpose of these pages.

Hello, precious ! :)
I did not update for a long time already my web site. I did many
works recently and I finally found the time to post it here as
well.
I made three site interfaces, a logo and a book cover.
Three illustrations on similar topics: robotics and the future.
In my spare time I continued painting. I completed the following
three works.
Since August 2010, I started collaborating with Daniel Schaaf, a german that makes
various travel sites specialised for different audiences. I do site
templates, which include the HTML and CSS implementation. I finally
had the time, this week, to prepare and to publish on this web site
all the interfaces I did for him. I already made a dozen, so in
this post I will show just a few thumbnails, the rest of them are
available in a dedicated
page.
I hope you like my new works. :)
P.S. I updated my CV as
well.

Greetings people ! :)
Here's a quick update with my latest works.
I've done three book covers, each different and special in its way.
I hope you like them. I am now working on a new one for a friend,
Michael Auerbach.
Since I got my Bamboo tablet I exercise painting on a daily basis
and in December 2010, I decided to take the best ideas that stemmed
from my silly painting exercises and to finalise them, so I can
publish them. Here are my shy attempts in painting.
I also painted a Christmas greeting card which I missed posting
here, because I was too busy painting the images I release in this
post. I hope you guys like this one as well, even if it is late :).
And if all this wasn't enough, I also publishing a not so 3D image
I made in 5 minutes, by mistake, in 2004, but I only finalised it
yesterday. The initial image was a 3D render, but I worked on it so
heavily in Photoshop that it is far from the initial one, just the
basic forms and shapes are there. I also painted on it - to fix and
"improve" details :).
Meanwhile, I worked more on various tiny projects, like designing
site interfaces, coding in HTML and stuff for school. I am still
aiming at finishing my new site in 2011.
Best regards to everyone and thanks for your time!

Buenos dias!
Last week I've done two new book covers. The first one was for a
book on artificial inteligence by Ioan Dziţac. I chose abstract imagery
and I used a colour palette which suggests a high-tech world.
Special thanks to Lucian
Marin for the suggestions on typography.
The second book is about new paradigms in artificial inteligence
authored by several people. For this one, I illustrated fuzzy logic
in two ways. For the front I did something rather complex, strictly
related to mathematics, but for the back I did something more
"humane".
'Till next time, best wishes to you :). Oh, and... it's almost
Christmas. I wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I doubt
I'll post anything new until next year.

I finally had the time to update the site. I added some new content
and we updated several pages.
My latest work is
"Love bites".
The first WIP saw the light in early November 2007, but I wasn't in
the mood to finish it until yesterday - 3rd of February 2008. Take
it as an image for Saint Valentine's
Day, but I didn't intend it to be so.
In early November 2007, I was asked to make a new logo and a new
site interface for Ovidiu
Bosancu. In two weeks my work was finished. This is with
what I came up with:
The organizers of the "Music and Poetry
Festival" from Arad, Romania, asked me to design the calendar
for 2008 and the cover for the next book of this festival. I am
really content how these two works turned out. Again, all this
happened in late September and in November 2007.
In January 2008, I was
contacted by the web designer behind Foundation Recordings,
asking me for the permission to use the image Old Radio. I ended up,
not only allowing him to use it, but also doing two 3D objects for
the site design. A mixing box and a disco ball. Hope you like them.
And, in other news... I am proud to announce that in October 2007,
"The wind
of change" image appeared in the "Best of Cinema
4D" gallery of the 3D
Attack magazine. That's not all: the same image became the
front cover in November 2007 issue, which also
featured a four pages interview with me :). It was
my first interview of any kind.
In conclusion... November was the most active month since august
2007. :)

This is the new ROBO Design web site. Thank you for visiting my
blog.
With this new site we made sure that we can keep in-touch with the
public more easier. Expect from now on more often updates. Feel
free to navigate the simple interface :).
New content on the site:
... after all... 2006 was highly active.
About the site
I've been told that the interface design is not good. The ROBO
Design logo is too retro, the colour theme is too brown and...
last, but not least the navigation system is not good. Well the
reasoning behind this interface was to make a simple, clean one.
Nothing too fancy. The colour theme is inspired by the Ubuntu Linux
distro, besides this we didn't want to stick to the blue colour. As
for the navigation system, it's clear that by having so many menus,
we would have cluttered the whole site. We wanted both to have our
own pages, our own sort of site. Thus, the decision was to hide the
menus under these two named parts/sides.
