The beginning
A few test renders of the objects in the Digital Morning 3D scene:
More renders

I added details to the walls: cracks, stains and dirt. |

I've decided that I don't like the plate with the pie... so I made a nice box of diskettes. Resolution = 620x568. |

As I said before, I've put instead of a plate, a box of diskettes. The cracks, dirt and stains on the walls are greatly improved. |

The size proportion between the printer and the papers is fixed (the papers were too big). |
![]() Sunday, January 25, 2004, 12:48:25 |
I remade the keyboard keys to look better, the old ones were ugly. |

After a long time of not working on the image (I was busy with other things), I made the calendar realistic - with 3D pages and a top poster. The resolution of the texture is 3000x3500. The mountains image is made by me too. The blinds are down, but now they are correctly positioned, until now the blinds had too much space. Much more better lighting and moodier. Another change is I added SSS to the courtains, so you can see where the sun light falls on the courtain, just like in real life. |

I finally made the monitor, so I had to make a test render in Digital Morning scene with it, just to see it. |
![]() Friday, February 27, 2004, 15:00:32 |
I further improved the textures and the modelling of the monitor. Here's a test render of it in dark to see how it illuminates a scene. |

A final test render of the monitor in a very nice lighting setup that reveals the details of the object. |
![]() Thursday, March 11, 2004, 20:30:57 |
Finished the tower after few days of slowly working on it. |

Too many changes in this image... and it's too ugly:
This render is just a test one. The purpose is to observe and study the lighting in a 3D enviroment. I finished all the important and big 3D models/computer components which may affect the light in the room. Now I stopped doing anything else until I do a good lighting for the image. I was having hard time because I couldn't make a good light setup for the image. Now, in the next 4 images you will see totally different light setups. At the end, of course, I picked the best. |

Here's another lighting test. Playing with light and observing... The entire scene during night. All objects (texts, LEDs and others) have phosforescent texture. |

This is a render made with the help of Shademaster. He told me what lights and where to put them - everything related to lighting. Another modification is... the blinds were deleted at his request. I was out of ideeas, so Shademaster helped me. With this test I learned something more :). I'm now working on the calendar texture, as you can see it's ugly. |
![]() Sunday, May 02, 2004, 18:39:57 |
After a very long pause (again, busy with other things) I finished the calendar texture. I remade the lighting all by myself and its better. Last month Shademaster lighting test wasn't releaseable. Finally the lighting gets as I wish it to be. |

The final calendar texture. I made it in very high details... at the resolution of 3000x3500. |
![]() Monday, May 03, 2004, 16:46:03 |
Changed a little bit the lighting. Now it's darker. The calendar texture is finally finished, as in the final render. |
![]() Tuesday, May 04, 2004, 20:12:24 |
Better lighting, but the radiosity quality is bad :). |
![]() Thursday, May 06, 2004, 15:15:05 |
Now the lighting is better and very similar to the final render. I changed the outside view again. |
![]() Thursday, May 06, 2004, 22:29:03 |
Fixed some lighting issues and made other ones :). |
| After another very long pause I resumed working. The render is unfinished (first step - render prepass) and that's why it's very ugly. At least you can observe that I added details to the textures of the courtains, so now, they are similar to the final render. I also modified a little bit the calendar texture to observe something. | |
![]() Thursday, June 24, 2004, 12:26:09 |
The courtains are finished (they finally look nice) and the calendar is too dark now. Another change is... I did put the printer paper holder down because the subwoofer wasn't visible at all. |

I got from a friend an A4TECH Multimedia Keyboard for my computer :), so I decided that I want to make it. Here it is, 90% finished. The old white keyboard was way too ugly :D. |
![]() Saturday, July 03, 2004, 15:54:18 |
Added the new keyboard in the scene of the Digital Morning image. The calendar isn't anymore too dark. I modified a little bit the outside view again. |
![]() Monday, July 05, 2004, 21:53:52 |
I think this is a higher render quality and maybe some lighting adjustments. |
![]() Wednesday, July 07, 2004, 19:11:01 |
This is the logo of the mouse I'm modelling. |

I finally made the last computer component: the mouse. It was pretty hard to model an organic form, non-symmetrical. |
![]() Friday, July 09, 2004, 23:35:33 |
I've made a fantasy grass. This image is on the screen of the monitor as a wallpaper. Resolution = 1024x768. |
![]() Thursday, July 15, 2004, 21:40:31 |
Here you can see the new screen of the monitor, the mouse and, finally, the corner of the room is fixed - looking good now. |
![]() Sunday, August 01, 2004, 14:01:30 |
Few small improvements. A render from another position to see how it looks like. |
These were all the renders I've saved. I've worked very slow on this project because i was busy with many other things, such as school.
Here you can see individual renders of each 3D object as it was in the final render:
